I have a passion for helping people find resolution and joy in the midst of difficult life circumstances. I believe the foundation of change lies in the relationship between therapist and client. Clients will find my style to be open and interactive. I truly believe that no matter where clients find themselves, we can work together to realize strengths and renew hope. My approach combines client centered, solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I also utilize EMDR to help clients successfully process disturbances and negative beliefs that underlie many types of issues.
Do you ever feel like despite your best efforts solutions to life’s daily problems seem out of your reach? Has your relationship continued to deteriorate to the point that you feel it’s unsalvageable? Have negative emotions robbed you of your joy? Are you experiencing life transitions that you don’t know how to navigate? Maybe you have experienced a trauma and are having trouble moving beyond it? Whatever the situation, the decision to seek professional help can be scary. My commitment to you is to provide a safe, confidential, non-judgmental environment where we can explore the issues and more importantly, solutions. Through a collaborative effort which focuses on your strengths, we can work towards practical solutions that will leave you feeling more fulfilled and renew a sense of joy in your life.
My background as a Licensed Social Worker has provided me the opportunity to work extensively with children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of issues, including trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and family conflict. I hope you will take the time to call me and we can explore how I might be helpful to you.
